Progress made visible

Just look the other way and they won't see you're actually doing something 'naughty'

We are just back from visiting my mum in Holland. As always, it was too short of a trip. But it was nice to see my family and absorb some Dutch vibes (i.e. British culture - and people do differ quite a bit from the Dutch. Which makes it nice to be back in Holland every now and again).

However, our visit to the Dutch capital isn’t the reason for my blog (although it does give me good excuse to post another picture of Amber). Today Andy helped setting at Climb Newcastle for the WBC round 3. This is the first time he has set (i.e. held a drill, held a hold, and climbed a ladder) since over 13 months. It’s fair to say, I was a little reluctant. Not sure how he would be able to climb a ladder with one hand a leg without much sensation, while holding a hold, bolt, and drill!!. But he managed fine. And I probably shouldn’t mention this, but one of his problems is (after a tiny bit of tweaking) probably one of the best of the comp.

It’s so good when progress is made visible. Hopefully he’ll be able to try his own problems one day as well.
